Regenerative land management with specialized equipment and a light touch.
Services
Chipping, Composting, Mulching.
With a full-size tree chipper, we can chip invasive and other undesirable trees and apply the wood chips as mulch to trees you want to preserve. Maui Land Management can also advise on and create a medium to large scale composting system for your land. Our philosophy is not to haul plant material off your property but to chip and mulch invasive and undesirable trees to turn them into a resource.
Land & Pasture Improvement.
Mechanical invasive species management improves land and pasture.
The Forestry Mulcher cuts, grinds and eradicates invasive brush, leaving biomass that improves pasture, farm and orchard land.
We provide mowing services with our Ventrack 4500P, which enables us to maneuver and mow in Hawaii’s challenging terrain.
Hauling.
Maui Land Management has a full-size dump truck and other equipment for hauling gravel, sand, wood chips, plants and more onto your property to improve soil health and the beauty of the landscape.
Installation & Maintenance.
Maui Land Management’s mini-excavator and trained crew can install orchards, agroforests, native trees, silvopasture and crops. Once planted, Maui Land Management provides ongoing maintenance services: mowing, pasture maintenance, invasive species management, tree care, harvesting and sales of fruit and vegetables.

Featured: Forestry Mulcher
The Forestry Mulcher (Fecon Bull Hog BH74SS) is an amazing tool that attaches to the front of the Skid-Steer and is often used for invasive species control and habitat conservation.
The Forestry Mulcher is unique in that it clears, cuts and grinds vegetation in place so it does not have to be removed from the site. This greatly reduces the need for site prep and clean-up, minimizes soil disturbance, provides soil nutrients, enhances soil carbon and allows desirable grasses and trees to flourish.
The Takeuchi TL12V2 skid-loader paired with the Fecon Forestry Mulcher are the ideal combination to handle to handle Hawaii’s specific invasive species, brush, weeds and other foliage that ranchers, farmers and landowners often want removed or managed.
The Forestry Mulcher quickly tackles large areas and can operate in challenging terrain.
Pictured at right: The Forestry Mulcher cleared the area of invasive inkberry and turkeyberry. Then Maui Land Management planted Sunn Hemp as a cover crop and used the Forestry Mulcher to mulch the Sunn Hemp back into the land, which refines the material down quickly.
